Grace Campesi

President

Grace has served the LCTA Membership with dedication and insight over the past seventeen years. Prior to joining the insurance industry, Grace, President of Risk Management Resources, held a senior management position with Maintenance Enterprises, an industrial construction & contracting company, working in petro-chemical plants and refineries both, national and international. During this segment of her career, she successfully dealt with the various challenges to profitability, productivity, and safety created by a diverse operation. Grace’s experience taught her the value of a safe and productive workforce. She prides herself on being an advocate of employers and our greatest asset, our employees.  Grace’s committment to safety is paramount in her ability to understand and meet the specific needs of the LCTA Membership.

 

Laurie Barré, CWCP

Underwriting/Marketing Manager

Laurie Barré assumed her role as Manager at LCTA in December of 2007. She brings with her over eighteen years of worker’s compensation underwriting experience. Prior to joining LCTA, Laurie served in supervisory & managerial positions within the worker’s compensation industry. Laurie is responsible for all new & current underwriting business, agency services and marketing. Laurie is dedicated to customer service and believes in building strong relationships with LCTA Members as well as with the agencies and agents that serve them.  Laurie holds the Certified Workers’ Compensation Professional designation.  Laurie is involved with PIA, IIABL and the Insurance Professional organizations.

 

Shelly Crochet

Controller

In 1996 Shelly Crochet received her Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University in accounting.  After college, she was in the billing/payroll, and accounting departments in the marine/petrochemical industry.  In August 2000, Shelly joined LCTA as the Controller.  She is responsible for preparing the financial statements, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable.  Shelly sits on the LCTA Investment Committee and was instrumental in developing the investment policy. She works very closely to the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of LCTA.  She assists the CPAs and the actuary with all financial information.  Shelly is also responsible for calculating and paying the dividend distribution to the members in good standing every year.


In 2007, Shelly became the manager of the Premium Accounting department which is responsible for the accounts receivable of the insurance premium.  As manager, Shelly’s goal is to provide excellent customer service to all members of the fund.

 

 

Alison Stephens

Human Resource Manager

Alison has been involved in the Workers’ Compensation industry for the past sixteen years.  In 2001, she was recruited by LCTA to join the Premium Accounting Department.  Within one year, Alison’s ability to manage people and processes gained her the opportunity to fulfill her aspiration for a career in Human Resources.  She has excelled in her position and continues to expand her knowledge in her field.  As the HR Manager, Alison’s focus is on LCTA’s corporate vision and recruiting teams that work hand in hand.  She is proud of the talent she has brought within the organization, a staff that takes initiative and has a commitment to excellence.  Her efforts ensure that our members have the best service that LCTA can provide.  Alison’s favorite quote and personal motto is: “Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life!”

 

 

Julie Williams, CWCP

New Business Underwriter

Julie has been in the Workers’ Compensation Industry since 2003.  She began her career with a focus in Loss Control and Underwriting. Julie joined LCTA in 2007 and holds the position of New Business Underwriter.   Julie is involved with the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Louisiana (IIABL), Young Insurance Professionals (YIPS) and the National Association of Insurance Professionals (NAW).
