Submission Requirements

 

The New Business Underwriters take pride in providing timely responses to all submissions received.  In order to assure the quickest turnaround time, please provide the following for each submission.

  1. A completed Workers’ Compensation Acord Application
  2. A detailed description of the nature of business/operations
  3. Currently valued premium and loss information for the three most recent years
  4. Details on any large losses
  5. Current NCCI Experience Modification worksheet (not required, but very helpful)

We will insure new ventures if the owner has experience in the exposure and business management experience.  Please provide the specific experience of the owner and/or the person responsible for daily management/supervision with your submission.

LCTA is an open market.  We accept submissions from all contracted agents.  Each submission is reviewed independently based on the information provided.

The minimum premium is $3,000.  If approved, risks that generate premium less than the minimum will be charged $3,000.

LCTA offers numerous competitive payment plans.  Payment plans offered are monthly self-reporting, monthly or quarterly installments and annually.

LCTA insures a wide variety of risks.  We do not class underwrite and will review each submission based on the individual merits of the risk.

 

The following risks are Excess General Exclusions:

• Mining

• Electric Power Line Construction, Light and Power NOC, Electric Co-ops

• Logging and Lumbering (Non-mechanized)

• Industrial Aid Aircraft

• Exposures related to Federal Acts (with the exception of incidental USL&H)

• Nuclear Operations

• Oil and Gas lease/drilling operations (both on and off shore)

• Railroad construction codes

• Wrecking/Demolition (greater than 5 stories)

• Asbestos Abatement

• War risks

• Mfg/storage/transportation of fireworks, ammo, nitro or other explosive devices

• Groups, Pools, Associations, Trusts

• Pubic Entities and Municipalities

 

Submissions can be forwarded to your New Business Underwriter via email, facsimile or mail. If you do not know your assigned New Business Underwriter, you can submit to underwriting@lctaonline.com.
